Old character I made in 2008: New Osaliqua design
In trying to keep with my old style, I drew this with NO reference and that might've been the most challenging aspect. Also: cell shading. Never again.
The line art was done on paper. Spent many hours on this, guess I'm rusty with photoshop. The background is not spectacular, so I'd really like advice if anyone is good at that stuff.
Used to draw and not care how proportionately and anatomically correct my art was, and drew with no reference at all. Maybe was more creative back then. I certainly drew more.
I recommend doing this meme. It has inspired me to draw and be creative!
